Robert Shemin - The real deal or another "so-called" Guru
I first met Robert Shemin in Charlotte about 3 years ago. At the time, I was in the process of purchasing a group of properties from one seller. It was three duplexes and a seven unit building. Robert gave me some words of encouragement as well as some words of caution. He also gave me his business card and said, "give me a call if there is anything I can do to help."

For those of you who don't know, Robert Shemin is a speaker, best selling author (Secrets of the Millionare Landlord), and real estate investor. He got his start in Nashville, Tennessee buying low income rentals. He still owns many of them today. Don't believe it... check out the the Davidson County tax site. Enter his name and see for yourself.

Recently, Robert Shemin was in Raleigh and I got the chance to hear him speak a couple of time. He is a very good speaker, as are all of the people on the seminar circuit. But Robert is different. He always shows up early, stays late and does not leave until the last person has finished asking him questions. In his presentation he hits on things that everyone needs to make a rule of their business. He focuses on goals and getting the maximum use of ones times. I do not recall what he was selling his package for but the material, especially the landording material, comes from someone who has been in the trenches and survived to tell about it. Therefore, for the person that is looking to learn from someone else's experiences and is willing to take action, it is well worth the price.

If you Google Rober Shemin's name, you can find good reviews as well as some very bad ones. I would like to set the story strait at least from my point of view. If you call Robert, he will either answer his phone or call you back when he gets the chance. His time is worth a lot and he is willing to help anyone on the path to making money in real estate. If you get the chance to spend any time with him alone, it is clear that he does and can make more money buying and selling deals versus trying to sell books and tapes. Check him out if you get the chance, he is the real deal.
