When I was visiting the National Association of Realtors website the other day I ran across a recommendation for a Real-Estate industry watchdog named John T. Reed. When I visited his site at http://www.johntreed.com/Reedgururating.html I was very surprised to find a very extensive list of reviews for hundreds of real estate gurus.
What caught my eye was what John had to say on his site:
"When I got into real estate in 1967, there would only have been about ten gurus, all book authors, and all recommended. The all-recommended status continued until Nothing Down author Robert Allen came on the scene in 1979. Ever since, there has been an endless parade of B.S. artists coming into the real-estate-investment-advice field. It is an embarrassment to the good people in the business."
Once I started to research the list I was very happy to see that John has done a great job of listing legitimate experts and so-called gurus.

"...there's no lacking of people who are offering real estate foreclosure lists. One might pay $35 for a list, but it may be peppered with properties in other states. It's not fraudulent, but it's certainly deceptive."
